Fun Activities and Lots to See at the Thresheree & Harvest Festival on Sept. 20 & 21

2025 Thresheree & Harvest FestivalThe Richfield Nature & Historical Park was filled with excited children and interested adults as they enjoyed the sights and sounds of the annual Thresheree & Harvest Festival. RHS at Richfield Days

The Richfield Historical Society was a part of Richfield Days on August 22-24. For the first time, walking tacos were offered -- they were sold out on Saturday before closing time! Ice cream novelties were offered as a sweet treat. Another first was having the Society's unique maple cotton candy on Saturday.

New Roofs on Richfield Historical Park Buildings

Four new roofs are part of the maintenance projects in the Richfield Historical Park this summer:

* Barn and Mill -- These roofs are completed with Great Lakes Roofing donating the labor!
Granary Roof* Granary -- this is completed
* Horseshed -- this has not been started. Click here to watch a video.

RHS volunteers will do the work on the Granary and Horseshed.

New Addition to the Richfield Historical Park

BermA berm is being built in the Park west of the barn. This will eventually allow water to flow into the raceway for the mill, and the people mover at events will take visitors to the Lillicrapp Welcome Center.

Visitors and Exhibitors Braved the Heat and Wind at Art at the Mill on June 21

Artist at Art at the MillThe Richfield Historical Park was alive with activity as exhibitors battled the wind to set up their tents and visitors fanned themselves with programs to ward off the heat. The event was a success despite the conditions. Soothing music by Vivo and delicious food by the Richfield Lions were enjoyed as visitors took a break from wandering through the booths of the talented exhibitors. The shade in the Silent Auction tent enticed those who wanted to have the highest bid on a unique items. The air conditioning in the Mill House and Welcome Center provided a respite from the soaring temperatures. The Messer/Mayer Mill and the Blacksmith were enjoyed by those who went inside....Read More and See Photos
